Umar Akmal Returns as Squads for Domestic Season 2021-22 Announced:

Hard Hitting batsman Umar Akmal has made his comeback to domestic cricket as the squads of all six Cricketing Associations have been announced. Umar Akmal will feature alongside his brother Kamran Akmal in the Central Punjab side. Umar Akmal is returning after the end of his ban. The squads for Domestic Season 2021-2022 included few surprises as some major players were traded and will be seen in new teams this season.

Opening batsman Shan Masood will be seen playing for the Sindh Cricket Team, he was with Southern Punjab in the previous season. Hard Hitting Batsman Azam Khan was in Sindh last season but this time he will be seen in Southern Punjab’s color. Moreover the experienced trio of Shoaib Malik, Mohammad Hafeez and Wahab Riaz have switched sides from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to Central Punjab. Interestingly KP’s head coach last year, Abdul Razzaq will be the Head Coach of Central Punjab this year. It might be possible that Razzaq wanted this trio in his new team as well.
